At the backdrop of the much hyped reconciliation process going on among the Naga undergrount organisations, 23 cadres from NSCN-K and FGN/NNC (both Accordist and otherwise) have defected to the NSCN-IM camp as claimed by the Isak-Muivah group today.
The NSCN-IM said that these 23 cadres have joined the "mainstream" and the outfit terms the development as "home-coming after admitting their past mistakes".
"The NSCN/GPRN in its Joint Council meeting dated, September 11 at Council Headquarters, Hebron warmly welcomes the following home comers of different groups who joined into the mainstream admitting their past mistakes with realization that the NSCN under the Collective Leadership is the true torch bearer of Naga national movement for liberation.
They solemnly pledge to work unsparingly for the just cause of the nation under the people's mandated and legitimate banner of NSCN," claims the NSCN-IM statement issued to the media tonight.
The identities of the reported defectors are Perhevilie Angami of NSCN-K, Vilelhou Angami (NSCN-K), Kuolahietuo (NSCN-K), Zetuo (NSCN-K), Visiezulie (NSCN-K), Salie Nagi (NSCN-K), Neilhoukhotuo (NSCN-K), Seyiechutuo (NSCN-K), Theja-o (NSCN-K), Neingulie (NSCN-K), Meirisiu William (education deputy kilonser of FGN/NNC-Zeliangrong Region), 'Corporal' Timothy (FGN/NNC), 'Sgt.Maj.' Ngoubuing (NSCN-K), Eilungbuing (FGN/NNC corporal), 'Captain' Vesaneo (FGN/NNC-Accordist), '2nd Lt'.
Vesaku (FGN/NNC-Accordist), Krodeo (FGN/NNC 'Lieutenant') , ' Maj'.
Nguothoba (NSCN-K), ' Sgt.' Hokivi (NSCN-K), ' Sgt'.
Khetoka (NSCN-K), ' Capt' Throtongse (FGN/NNC), 'corporal' Belongling (FGN/NNC) and R.Kiusangthong (NSCN-K).
