Imphal, October 29 2010:
With the stated objective of promoting the traditional food items of various communities living in the State, the Chinjak Festival, 2010, which would go on for 10 days, has begun from today at the ground of Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School in Thoubal.
The inaugural function of the festival was attended by Health and Family Welfare Minister Ph Parijat as chief guest, Deputy Secretary of CADA/IPR H Goswami as guest of honour, former Minister of Art and Culture Dr M Nara as special guest and secretary of WIGC Indira Oinam as functional president.
In all 22 stalls are participating the festival.
The festival is being organised by the Innovative Youth Society and its Board of Chinjak Festival.
