Urging the Government of Manipur to hold human rights and deal with the people from all walks of life including insurgents in the true democratic spirit as per the law of the land, Committee on Concern Organisation for People's Affairs (COPA), Tamenglong district has demanded that the whereabouts of RK Sanayaima, chairman of UNLF be made known public at the earliest.
In a statement, COPA secretary Rev R Khanglen said that the details about the arrest of RK Sanayaima in Bangladesh and the reported move to extradite him to India should not be left a mystery for long to provoke the wrath of the people.
COPA has also appealed to the Government of India and the Government of Manipur to repeal the Armed Forces Special Powers Act from Manipur and other parts of the country.
