In unrelated incidents, two persons, including a non-local were found dead, while one succumbed to injuries sustained in an accident.
One non-local man suddenly collapsed and died on the spot at Checkon crossing in Imphal East district at about noon today.
Information culled from the spot said that ICICI sales officer Mrinal Das (57) from Silchar but staying at Thangal Bazar suddenly collapsed as he was walking on the road.
Porompat Police picked up the corpse and deposited it in the mortuary of JNIMS.
An unidentified male believed to be in his mid-20s was found killed today near Saikul village, about 9 kms from Churachandpur district headquarters, along the Khuga Canal on the eastern side of Tedim Road.
According to our Lamka correspondent, the deceased youth's hands were tied behind with an electric wire and bore a bullet mark on his forehead.
The victim is attired in jeans shorts, a black T-shirt with a striped shirt over it.
A police team headed by the district Superintendent of Police collected the body today at around 11.30 am.
The body was later in the day shifted to RIMS mortuary in Imphal, after about four hours from the District Hospital here.
Meanwhile, a 30 year old man who had been undergoing treatment at Shija Hospital following a road accident on Ayangpalli Road under Porompat PS on October 24 succumbed to injuries today.
The deceased identified as Toijam Shyamchand s/o T Ibocha of Khurai Chingangbam Leikai was riding a motorcycle (Bajaj Calibre) near Rajani English School, Ayangpalli Road when he was knocked down by a truck at about 1.30 pm of the fateful day.
First, he was admitted in JNIMS and later shifted to Shija Hospital as his condition became critical.
Police have already arrested the driver of the truck involved in the accident.
