Imphal, November 11:
For the first time, army at Thanlon and District Hospital, Churachandpur came together to organised a series of medical camps in the remote villages of Sinjawl, Songtal and Mualnuam, according to a PIB Defence Wing statement.
The statement informed that doctors from Army and District Hospital attended to more than 1500 patients including children, women and senior citizens coming from villages as far as Myanmar border.
They were not only provided with medical treatment and free medicines, but the Army also provided basic necessities to the poor.
Commanding Officer accompanied by SDO Thanlon remained during these camps and interacted with the civil population to learn about their problems.
