Imphal, June 16 2009:
The JAC Against the Brutal Killing of Yengkhom Krishnadas has conveyed gratitude to all the people who took part in the funeral procession of Yengkhom Krishnadas.
It also expressed grief over the injury caused to some people by tear gas shells fired by police at Kakwa on their way to take the body of Krishnadas.
Even as the general strike has been suspended for some days, the JAC would be staging protest demonstrations until its demands are fulfilled.
In line with the JAC's position, a sit-in-protest was staged at Kakching Bazar today.
Similar protest demonstrations have been going at Irengband, Pallel etc, conveyed the JAC.
It further urged upon the Government to book the culprits and punish them accordingly in public.
