To commemorate the sacrifices of 10 brave CRPF men who laid down their lives fighting Chinese aggression on October 21, 1959 at Hotspring, Ladakh in Jammu & Kashmir, the Police Commemoration Day was observed at GC, CRPF, Langjing, Imphal today.
All officers, subordinate officers and other ranks attended the function.
Delivering a brief speech at the occasion, Additional DIGP Anil Duggal, who is also one of the most senior most officer present in the station highlighted the significance of the day and men tioned the valour of the 10 CRPF men who fought against the Chinese aggression.
Thereafter, names of Martyrs' list received from the Ministry of Home Affairs of Central Government were read out.
Wreaths were laid at the memorial of the martyrs by all officers present and representatives of all other ranks followed by presentation of arms and two minutes silence in honour of the departed martyrs of all police forces was also observed.
