Imphal, February 22 2011:
The Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur informed to overseas electors whose place of residence in India is located in the state of Manipur who has completed 18 years of age as on January 1, 2011 and are desirous of registering their names in the electoral roll to submit claim application in Form-6A for registration in the electoral roll of the constituency in which their place of residence as shown in the passport.
A press release signed by the CEO, PC Lawmkunga further informed that the claim application may be either submitted in person directly to the Registration Officer of the constituency concerned or sent by post alongwith the documents mentioned in the guidelines.
Application sent by post should be accompanied by photocopies of the relevant pages of passport attested by the competent official of the Indian Mission in the country concerned.
Addresses of the registration officers of each of the 60 Assembly constituencies in the state are available on the website of the office on www.ceomanipur.nic.in, it further stated.
