Imphal, February 22 2011:
While taking serious note to the land dispute between Kwatha and Leibi villages in Chandel district which even led to blockade on NH 39, the United Committee Manipur (UCM) urged the state government to take up immediate necessary action and solve the dispute at the earliest.
In a press release, UCM urged the Deputy Commmissioner and SP of Chandel district to stay alert to prevent any unwanted incidents from happening in the two villages.
It also appealed to the people of Kwatha and Leibi villages to refrained from any violent act regarding the matter.
