Students pulled up for pilferage

Two students of Ananda Singh Higher Secondary School have been pulled up by the Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) for pilfering science equipment from the school's laboratory.
Speaking to media persons in this connection at their office at Sega Road this evening, KSA general secretary Ph Manao said that they have recovered from two compound microscopes and one telescope from the two students.
Following a complaint, the KSA probed into the matter and managed to pull up the two students from a house of one of them located at Nongmeibung Purana Rajbari this afternoon.
According to Manao, the items reportedly pilfered by the two students were four microscopes, one telescope, one AC adaptor and two flower vases with flowering plants.
The students admitted that they stole these items from Biology laboratory in the evening of last Saturday.
They also gave assurance to bring back the remaining items which have not been recovered yet.
On the other hand, some miscreants broke some windows and doors of Ananda Hr Sec School last Friday.
But the teachers and students remained silent thinking it might have been done supporters of the ongoing agitation of COTA.
On seeing the broken down condition of the school's doors and windows, the two students entered the school on Saturday and stole the listed items.
The KSA general secretary said that the two students would be handed over to their respective parents after due counselling.
