For the sake of future of the state, now time has come to unite together among all communities leaving all the differences, said state public health engineering and IPR minister TN Haokip speaking at the concluding function of the three day "Soul Searching" seminar organised by the Freedom Research Foundation.
Speaking as chief guest of the concluding function of the seminar held at GM Hall, minister, TN Haokip said many untoward incident brought about by the changing time are before the Manipuri society.
To confront and overcome the challenges ahead of the society, everybody need to stand united leaving behind the differences for the sake of future generation, the minister said calling upon the people for bringing peace, harmony, integrity and developed the state.
Dr Chinglen Meishnamba of Economic Department of Manipur University who spoke as resource person in the technical session of the seminar observed that the Manipur society is at dark now.
When the world is at the advance stage, people here are depending on lantern, candle.
The state is far behind in the power, water supply.
In such condition how the people of the state can compete with the other world, he asked.
He further said that even though mobile phone networks reached to every nook and corners of the state, the road communication system and the living condition in the remote areas are awfully backward.
Many villages are not connected by metal road, water pipe.
Many of them even don't know the name of a political leader of the state.
The state is backward because of lack of resource mobilization and bearing financial overburden.
It will not be possible to bring development in the state with the imported goods without mobilizing its own resources.
