Manipur People Party (MPP) today warned the Secular Progressive Front (SPF) that if the twin issues ahead of the state, the more than three month cease work strike of the employees and economic blockade imposed by the ANSAM be solved within a week time.
President of MPP, Dr Nimaichand Luwang today speaking at the inauguration function of a bridge at Sugnu today charged the government of not taking up appropriate action against the businessmen when they hiked up the prices of essential items keeping in their stocks before the economic blockade started.
The state government is still remaining silent even as development works in the state greatly hindered owing to the prolong cease work strike of the employees.
To keep a problem for long time without solving the same is not a good sign.
Any untoward incident arising out of prolong unsolved issues should be the responsible of the SPF government, he warned.
To remain SPF government further in power in such situation will not be a right one, he said.
Further speaking on the occasion, Nimaichand Luwang expressed happiness when, M Binod who contested election in the last Assembly election in MPP ticket donated a bridge to the people with his own expense.
Former minister, L Jatra who also attended the function criticized the SPF government of diverting funds mean for the payment of salaries of the employees.
Chief Minister, O Ibobi had diverted the funds for payment of sixth pay commission in the payment of salaries of VDF and newly recruited security personnel.
This has created the problem, he added.
Many other leaders of MPP who attended the function talked at the inaugural function.
