Atleast 21 passengers have been hospitalised following three separate road related incidents that took place in different parts of the State today.
According to police report, atleast 13 passengers of a bus sustained injuries when it met with an accident near Langthabal Thong Ahanbi along Mayai Lambi at around 4 am today.
The ill-fated bus bearing registration no.MN-01/0002 was coming towards Imphal from Mayang Imphal when the driver lost control following some technical failure.
All the 13 injured passengers have been admitted to RIMS.
The condition of two of them including the driver is reported to be critical.
On the other hand, two motorcycle (Bajaj Pulser) borne persons sustained injuries when a Mini Van (Maruti) in the service of ferrying school children hit them at Hatta in Imphal East at around 10.20 am today.
The condition of Henkholen Touthang (32) of Khamenlok, who was driving the motorcycle and was hit on his head is said to be critical.
He has been admitted to JNIMS.
60-year old Thangam Touthang of Checkon, who was pillion riding, also sustained injuries on his head.
But he is reported to be out of danger.
He too has been admitted to JNIMS.
Meanwhile, atleast six persons were injured when the bus in which they were travelling rammed into a tree near Chotobekra under Jiri Police Station at around 9.30 am today, reports our Jiribam correspondent.
