Acting on a news report published in The Sangai Express, a departmental inquiry is set to be instituted against the cashier of TB Hospital at Chingmeirong who allegedly deducted certain amount as processing charge from the 6th Pay Commission arrears of the Hospital staff.
Talking to The Sangai Express today afternoon, Health and Family Welfare Minister Ph Parijat informed that the depart0 mental inquiry is to be conducted against cashier T Ketuki to find out the reason for deducting certain amount from the 6th Pay arrears of the employees of the TB Hospital.
The Director of Health and Family Welfare Department is currently at Jiribam to inspect the site where a 100-bedded hospital is to be constructed by the Department.
The Director is expected to return tomorrow.
Soon after his arrival, an order would be issued to institute a departmental inquiry against cashier T Ketuki.
Based on the report of the inquiry, necessary action would be taken up against the cashier, the Minister assured.
Depending on the arrear amount of the Grade-III employees, cashier T Ketuki allegedly deducted amount ranging from Rs 800 to Rs 1000, and from Rs 1200 to Rs 1400 while upto Rs 600 from each of the Grade-IV employees citing the deduction as the amount incurred in passing the bill at the Treasury Office, Lamphelpat.
Suspended : The police officer who allegedly threatened a staff nurse on night duty at the Male Ortho Ward of RIMS last Saturday has been suspended from service.
The Sub-Inspector has been suspended by the authority today in connection with the Saturday night incident.
RIMS Nurses' Association had protested against the unruly conduct of the SI who allegedly brandished his service gun and threatened the staff nurse, over allegations of not treating a patient well and ignoring his plight.
The patient is not related to the SI in any way.
