Tamenglong, September 13, 2010:
In the backdrop of the sharp difference that crept up within the party between Khwairakpam Brojendro alias Khelen and Ngangom Soviet alias Chingkhei, the armed outfit KCP-MC has reshuffled its functionaries and their posts.
According to the new arrangement which would be in force until party leader Naoba alias Lanchenba comes back or a central committee meeting is held, Lanchenba Mangang would be chief central committee and finance in chief.
Charairongba would be assistant chief of central committee, Taibangnanba secretary organisation and Chumthang would KFL commander.
Lanchen Meitei Chanura has been given the post of publicity and information secretary, said a press release issued by chief of central committee, Lanchenba Mangang.
Stating that the outfit would continue its activities in the line envisaged by their leader Ngangom Naoba alias Lanchenba who has now disappeared, the outfit alleged that Brojen alias Khelen and Soviet alias Chingkhei might be involved in the disappearance of Lanchenba alias Naoba.
Elaborating their point, the outfit said that Brojendro alias Khelen and Soviet alias Chingkhei were fair weather friends until they parted ways recently.
Earlier, they were instrumental in the frequent changes of party's posts and organisational structure since Naoba alias Lanchenba disappeared on February 6 this year.
There were instances when Soviet alias Chingkhei tried to break away from the party.
As a party leader, Lanchenba convened a joint meeting of the party and asked Brojendro alias Khelen as well as Soviet alias Chingkhei to present at the meeting accounts and reports of the party fund they handled.
It further speculated that Brojendro alias Khelen and Soviet alias Chingkhei might have plotted for the disappearance of Lanchenba for fear of discovering their dirty games.
But the two soon broke up following sharp differences over sharing of money, distribution of weapons etc.
The outfit further appealed to all those individuals who unwittingly supported those elements who have been selling the name of KCP-MC to earn easy money to come back to the right path.
It also warned all those elements scheming to create more splinter groups within the party by taking different names.
The genuine revolutionary movement of KCP-MC has no place for those impostors bereft of any ideology or political commitment, it asserted.
