Imphal, September 13, 2010:
The proscribed KCP (MC) has cautioned all those elements allegedly scheming for its downfall to always bear in mind Newton's third Law of Motion.
A press release issued by the outfit's information and publicity secretary Paikhomba said that the party is being threatened from two different directions.
The first is threat from other parties in disguise and the second, from the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) of the Government of India.
Recalling about the murder of eight KCP cadres in the name of forming a united KCP which subsequently led to subjugation of party cadres with physical threats, the outfit observed that the new trend of psychological intimidation which is creating a situation of counter conflict would amount to inter-party conflicts.
It demands a serious thinking if the sole aim of those elements backed by some revolutionaries masquerading themselves as KCP-MC is earning money by smearing the name of the outfit.
At a time when there was factional killings within a party in 1992-93, cadres of UNLF (O) were said to be KCP cadres to UNLF cadres who were chasing the former.
Moreover, KCP under the leadership of Y Ibohanbi opened a joined camped for the NSCN, KCP and UNLF(O) at Bangladesh.
Now the evolving scenario has thrown up a question if the strategy being used against KCP-MC is payback of the benevolence shown by the party in the earlier days.
One party which has unwittingly exchanged people's love with hatred is KCP/KCP-MC.
Though the outfit based its movement on communism, the party is facing a very serious crisis due to blunders and misplaced steps it took.
Decrying the presence of more than 32 armed groups in the tiny state thereby sowing seeds of all kinds of conflict, the outfit ridiculed the claim made by some elements that a new KCP-MC has been set up, taking advantage of the disappearance of Lt Col Naoba.
It also called upon all concerned to build up a united KCP but not extortion groups.
