Imphal, June 21:
The bitumen of the Public Works Department which was reportedly hijacked from a truck by some unidentified persons while coming towards Imphal on June 19 was recovered from a stone crusher located near Nungthapam village under Senapati district today morning.
The hijacked bitumen drums were recovered from the defunct stone crusher located near the village during a search operation conducted by a team of 22 Assam Rifles led by its Major Ajay Grewal based on specific operation at around 5.45 am today.
In all 110 bitumen drums have been recovered and the same handed over to the police.
