In the midst of officials from Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) inspecting the controversial Indo-Myanmar border at Moreh in Chandel district today, some personnel of Myanmar Army moved into Moreh town and intimated the Indian officials to stop construction works on the Integrated Check Post (ICP) .
The Myanmar Army claimed that the site for ICP located at Moreh Gate No.1 belongs to Myanmar.
The work for ICP was put on hold for sometime due to the tension.
However, the work got resumed only after SDPO of Moreh H Balram rushed to the spot and guarded the work site.
Unlike in the past inspection by State Ministers and officials, the Myanmar Army did not come out openly from their Platoon Base Camp to photograph the inspection team today.
But, the Army signaled to media persons not to photograph very close to their camp.
