NPF to contest Lok Sabha election

Dismissing speculation that the NPF Manipur may not field its candidate in the forth coming Parliamentary election, the Naga People's Front (NPF) Manipur State unit President Soso Lorho asserted today that the Party would field its candidate in the ensuing Parliamentary election.
Soso Lorho said that preparations have been made to field the NPF candidate in the poll.
It's "simply unthinkable" to back-off from contesting the Parliamentary election, the NPF State unit president said.
He was speaking during the NPF one-day State level political conference at Ukhrul today.
The party president today administered oath to the newly elected leaders of the party's Youth wing, Farmers' wing and women's wing and executive members of Ukhrul District NPF.
The party representatives from Churachandpur, Sadar Hills, Senepati and NPF members of Ukhrul district attended the one day state level political conference which was held at Town Hall, Ukhrul.
NPF MLA Victor Nunghlung highlighted the political objectives of the party.
Saying that the party is remaining firmly with all political parties of Manipur on the border issue, he also elaborated the roles of NPF in the North East regional Forum.
Victor said the party would announce its candidate for the Parliamentary election in January 2014 .
Other prominent speakers of the conference included Professor M Horam and Sword Vashum.
