The contractors and sub-contractors of Khuga Multipurpose Project here whose bills are still pending today shared their woes to the media and pledged to fight for due amount till death.
Questioning the Government's indifferences towards their grievances the contractors association asked whether the Government is hell-bent on completing the project with their money.
"What really is the Government intention, we have now doubted after a good seven years.
Is it true they are trying to inaugurate the project without paying our outstanding bills? Is it an attempt to built the project with our money?" the association leadership pondered today in front of the local media.
"Many of us are struggling to pay the interest of the money we have invested in the project some seven years back.
So we are determined to fight to the end.
What good is a life, if we were to live it with misery? We were already dead without our bill and we are hell-bend to fight till death," they said.
The contractors, above 28 in numbers claimed they still have an outstanding bill of more than Rs 2.40 crores.
Unless their bills are paid, the contractors were determined to strengthen the bandh they have imposed on all forms of construction within the dam since yesterday.
