Imphal, April 21 2010:
The Kuki National Organisation(KNO) has expressed deep concern over the tragic incident that happened at Thangjing hill a few days back in which two Kuki youths died and four others were injured.
T Stephen Kuki, Secretary of Information and Publicity, KNO said that the KNO would like to facilitate any religious group in their endeavour.
However, the organization would also express deep concern over the consequences of the Meeteis' pilgrimage to Thangjing hill.
The Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO), Churachandpur has clarified that Jangminlun Chongloi (23), son of Paosat Chongloi and Thensei Khongsai (19), son of Helthang Khongsai, who were brutally done to death were innocent youth.
Whatever the reasons for the misdemeanor of the culprits, the death of Kuki youths is beyond pardon, the KNO said.
These blatant acts of communalism further affirm KNO's objective to seek self-determination for its people, which will serve to establish safe deterrence.
Life cannot be purchased.
KNO is keen to observe what becomes of the perpetrators of the crime against the Kukis, said Stephen Kuki.
