Former deputy speaker, MLA Th Shyamkumar currently in the judicial custody in connection with a pending case at a court in New Delhi will be transported at Tihar jail, a source said.
In connection with the pending case at a court in New Delhi which was registered after he was arrested by Delhi police on October 2, 2006 along with two activists of the underground outfit from the Indira Gandhi International Airport and another case registered with the Imphal police station, MLA Shyamkumar has been in the judicial custody.
The order for shifting the MLA to Tihar jail was issued by the judicial magistrate first class, Imphal on June 9.His shifting to Tihar jail is believed to be in connection with the case registered with the Delhi police.
Shyamkumar is currently treating at a special word of the RIMS in connection with his heart illness under strict security protection In the meantime, a source from the MPP said that the working committee of the party has given clearance on the investigation into the alleged anti-party activities of the Shyamkumar today.
Mention may be made that MPP has suspended Shyamkumar who was elected as MLA from Andro Assembly constituency on the party ticket was placed under suspension from the primary membership of the party in the wake of his surrender to the court with alleged charge of fault play behind the resignation from the office of the deputy speaker and surrender drama.
The working committee of the MPP held this afternoon at 3 pm took the decision to allow investigation to the charge level against him by the party.
His role in the recently concluded elections to the 15th Lok Sabha in the state was minutely discussed in the meeting, the source said.
The meeting also resolved to call a special session of the party which would be held from June 21 to June 23.The session will importantly discuss on the party strategy for the general election to the state Assembly which would come up in 2012 .
The meeting also discussed on the matter arising in the aftermath of killing of professor Md Islamuddin of Manipur University and resolved to press the government to resolve the problems disturbing the academic calendar of the school in the follow up.
