State Health Director, Dr Th Surchandra has appealed all concerned not to call bandh, strike or blockade from June 9 till 11 in view of the MBBS entrance exam to be held on Sunday, June 10 .
Addressing reporters today at the Health Directorate, Dr Surchandra said around 5010 candidates would take the MBBS entrance exam this year at various exam centres in Imphal.
Out of the 5010 candidates, 2885 are female.
He said nine applications have been rejected on various grounds.
Appealing all concerned to ensure the smooth conduct of the exam, the Director urged all not to impose bandh, blockade or strike that could affect the smooth conduct of the exam.
Further, the Director added that no electronic devices including mobile phone would be allowed in examination halls.
