Girding up his loins, the Congress candidate for the Outer Manipur Parliamentary constituency in the ensuing Lok Sabha election, Thangso Baite has spelled out his agendas to be fulfilled in case he is elected.
�The aspirations of the people of the state must be reached in the parliament,� Thangso said.
He also affirms that he will strive to bring an end to the law and order problem of the state and he will endeavour to facilitate the solution of the problem politically if he is elected.
He optimistically said that he will win the election as he has the support of majority voters.
Confident of winning the election, Thangso asserted that he will get majority of the vote in Thoubal district while claiming that he has the majority support in his home polling, Churachandpur district.
He is also optimistic to get the support of Naga voters through various Naga Congress MLAs and Ministers.
The Congress candidate also expressed his gratitude to the AICC President, Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, MPCC President Gaikhangam and Chief Minister, O Ibobi for bequeathing him the Congress ticket.
The 58 year old Thangso Baite hails from Dongjang village under Sangaikot block in Churachandpur district.
He is the son of Dongjang Village chief, (L) Ngamkhotong Baite.
Thangso was elected to the Manipur Legislative Assembly in 2002 as an MSCP candidate from Singhat AC.
