Complaining against alleged failure of the Deputy Commissioner to advertise the recruitment of District Programme Manager (DPM) in respect of District Health Mission Society, Chandel for wide publicity, Anal Lenruwl Taangpi (Anal Students' Union), Imphal has called upon the Health and Family Welfare Minister to cancel the proceeding of the DPC/walk-in-interview held in this connection yesterday.
In a memorandum submitted to the Health and Family Welfare Minister, the student body pointed out that as per the office memorandum no.100/CS (E)/NRHM-09 (Pt) dated 5/6/08 issued by the State Mission Director, State Health Society, Manipur, the Deputy Commissioner, Chandel had been asked to recommend/nominate candidates from the district.
The Deputy Commissioner, Chandel is bound by the law to advertise widely the said post of DPM for recruitment on contract basis.
However, without advertising the officer recommended/nominated only 9 candidates for taking part ion the walk-in-interview, thus denying the opportunity of other eligible candidates from applying for the said post, the memorandum signed jointly by its president LH Decemhring and general secretary SR Andrian added.
