Even as the City Police registered an FIR case against the police commandos involved in the killing of Ch Sanjit, no arrest has been made till date.
According to information received by press, the FIR case was registered in accordance to a ruling of the Gauhati High Court issued on August 25 .
Ch Sanjit was killed inside a pharmacy at BT Road on July 23 after pregnant Rabina was killed and five others injured due to indiscriminate firing at Khwairamband about 30 minutes earlier.
Sanjit's mother Taratombi complained to City Police on August 7 seeking registration of an FIR case in connection with the killing of her son.
As there was no response to the complaint, the bereaved mother approached Gauhati High Court.
After hearing both the petitioner and respondents, the Court directed OC of the Police Station on August 25 to take up an FIR case in connection with the killing.
Subsequently, City Police took up case on August 26 under Section 302/34 of the IPC and Section 27 (3) of the Arms Act against the commandos.
However, in an unusual case, no arrest has been till date, conveyed a source.
