Report submitted by the spot enquiry team' of GPRN's Zeliangrong Regional Authority has concluded that employees posted at different departments/offices in Tamenglong district have been neglecting duty for unspecified period, revealed a statement issued by the GPRN.
The investigation is informed to have been initiated since the early part of the year and report publicised in local dailies from July 14 till 16.Taking strong note of the employees and officials staying away from their entrusted tasks, the GPRN asking these personnel to ensure presence in their respective offices also cautioned heads of department of punitive action in case of non-compliance.
The armed group also expressed that rather than strive to mitigate myriad problems besieging the people of the district, absence of the Government employees are only adding to woes of the economically deprived section of the society.
Regarding report of casualties suffered by the armed group in the November 26 skirmishes at Lukhambi (Khumji) village of Tamenglong district, the GPRN, Zeliangrong Region clarified that neither was its cadres slain nor injured in the incident.
It also rubbished rival faction's claim that NSCN (IM) colluded with personnel of 16 Assam Rifles during the particular gun-fight and dismissed the report as concocted.
"As appealed by the NGOs, social bodies and in the interest of the general public, the NSCN (IM) had so far been avoiding such ugly events," asserted the GPRN statement while insisting that the Khaplang faction should be held responsible for 'all the happening'.
In another statement, the GRPN announced another five days' extension to all concerned to rectify alleged flaw regarding the 16 incomplete ICDS Centre in Nungba sub-division of Tamenglong district and demanded clarification for failure to initiate appropriate action on the matter even after the extension of the 30 days time frame.
