Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) Manipur state committee today convey their stand to take the issue of the declaration of DPC result of primary teachers to the Union Minister of Human Resource Development , Kapil Sibal if the declaration of the DPC result is not confirmed at the earliest.
The federation, in a statement, asked the government the reason behind prolonged delay in the declaration of the result recalling that written test for the appointment of primary teachers was conducted on December 22, 2006, January 10 and January 28, 2007 under Board of Secondary education Manipur to fill up the shortage of primary teachers in the state.
Huge number of candidates took part in the written test as such recruitment for government jobs took place after around 10 years of stoppage of recruitment in government jobs.
As per recorded available with the employment exchange, 58,685 candidates applied for the post in which government had collected Rs.21,47,800 as fees for the test from the candidates.
Out of the 58,685 candidates who joined the written test, 5322 were declared successful; the statement observed adding that now the people, particularly the candidates are plunged into confusion when the list of the DPC recommended candidates published in Hueiyen Lanpao, signature of the Director Education (S) .
They demanded reason for the absence of transparency and accountability in education department when the state is striving hard to bring quality education in the state and demanded that right to education all the deprived students of the state be made avail education by making the appointment of the primary teachers confirm soon.
The government in power in the name of people's service must ensure all steps to maintain transparency or resign from post if not capable of discharging their bounden responsibility, the federation demanded.
Failure on the part of government to confirm the DPC result may constrain to approach the Union Human Resource Development Minister, Kapil Sibal for intervention, the
statement warned.
