Senior Citizens' Forum Tamenglong to organise special seminar

Senior Citizens' Forum Tamenglong is organizing a special seminar to have an in-depth discussion on the present socio-political challenges in Naga society with special reference to the Zeliangrong community.
The decision was taken in a meeting of the forum held on January 20 last, said a release issued by its Secretary D Dikambui today.
The proposed seminar slated to be held in the first part of next month will be graced by different Zeliangrong personalities of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland as resource persons.
DK Zeliang, former State Chief Conservator of Forest will speak on the topic, 'future vision of Zeliangrong community' while G Gaingam former Vice President of Naga Hoho will speak and present paper on the topic, 'the alternative arrangement demands of Manipur Nagas: its prospect and problems' .
Former Outer Manipur MP Mani Charenamei will deliver speech on the topic, 'Naga unification: its prospect and challenges' and another former MP, who once hold the Union Minister of State for Home Prof Meijinlung Kamson will enlighten the gathering on the most often intrigued issue of Naga civil organizations interfering in the Indian electoral politics vis-�-vis Naga political movement.
K Daimei, former Joint Director of Tribal Research Institute Manipur will speak on 'tribal land issue and extension of MLR & LR Act in tribal areas of Manipur', added the release.
The forum urged the public leaders, present and former MPs, MLAs, Ministers, MDCs, scholar, academicians, religious leaders, social organization representatives and Zeme Council, Liangmei Council Rongmei Council, Inpui Council representatives to participate the important seminar and open discussion hour with positive idea and good suggestions.
