Four non-locals were apprehended today for their indulgence in unauthorised sale of LPG Suraksha Hose pipe.
The frauds, reprimanded and released afterwards, have been identified as hailing from UP's Faridabad district namely - Narendrakumar, Birendrakumar and Umeshkumar with the fourth individual named Bishukumar Ranjandas from Nangli of Bihar State.
The four were nabbed while selling the items at the rate of Rs 200 to personnel of CRPF Group Centre, Langjing this afternoon posing as employees of indian Oil Corporation (IOC).
According to a source, fraud act of the four was exposed at the security campus as the IOC Sales Officer Talukdar was also there at that moment.
It is informed that only authorised IOC distributors are allowed to sell LPG Suraksha Hose pipe to the consumers at the prescribed rate of Rs 170 per piece and five year guarantee period.
Apart from Talukdar's prompt intervention exposing that the four were selling fake hose pipes they were also found carrying forged identification cards.
When contacted the IOC Sales Officer affirmed fraudulent activities of the four and conveyed of their release after they were strongly warned against duping LPG consumers.
Iterating that LPG Suraksha Hope pipe are made available to the consumers only through authorised distributors, Talukdar cautio ned the public against buying such item from street-side or traders who trade LPG goods in the locality.
