Imphal, February 13, 2010:
One jawan of the Border Security Force (BSF) was hurt in his thigh when a colleague of his accidentally touched the trigger of the loaded service gun he was cleaning, fired.
Reports said that the incident happened at the BSF headquarters (Nagaland and Manipur), Koirengei, Imphal last evening.
Sources said that police have registered a case following a complaint lodge by an official of the BSF authority at the headquarters.
S Chakarborty (33), son of Ananda Dev Chakarborty of Bhagawati, West Bengal has been admitted at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Imphal for medical attention who was hit by two bullets.
