Imphal, July 14 2009:
Troops of 42 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector reportedly confiscated 950 gms of Pangolin shells from one Mrs Muvi (40) w/o Moha of Pangaltabi village in Thoubal district on July 12 at about 2 pm.
Upon checking of a Tata Sumo (MN04A/2806), plying from kakching to Moreh, at Bongyang check-post the banned wildlife products were detected and the lady passenger (Muvi) apprehended for possession of the banned items, a PRO IGAR (S) said adding that both the seized wildlife products and the lady were handed over to Forest Office, pallel on the same day.
