Imphal, July 05: The Representatives of Lois (ROL), Kakching has alleged that the people of Sekmai and Andro along with their two elected representatives are trying to mislead not only the people but also Government of Manipur on the issue of SC status, and asserted that in accordance to the order issued by the President of India under Article 341 of the Constitution in 1956 as well as in 1976, all the Lois in Manipur are Scheduled Catses.

In a statement, ROL secretary Ksh Ranjan Singh said that the report of the Enquiry Committee set up by the State Government in 1992 clearly mentioned that there are in all 33 Loi village in Manipur including Kakching, Chairen and Pallel and subsequent Court rulings have been passed in favour this favour.

The matter related to SC and ST is a Central Subject and not State Subject.
