Imphal, July 05: A young woman who was admitted to RIMS Hospital for delivery had reportedly disappeared along with a baby girl given birth by her last night.

According to police personnel posted at the Hospital, 18-year old Shahida Begum w/o Md Kiyammuddin of Lilong was admitted to the hospital yesterday afternoon.

But after giving birth to a baby girl at night, Shahida, her husband and the newly born child disappeared from the Bed number 6 of Post Natal Ward.

On the other hand, an 18-year old girl sustained serious injuries when she accidentally contacted a live High Tension wire at Wangoo Laipham Heinayan Leikai.

The injured girl is identified as Thoudam Naobi Devi d/o Th Biren Singh.
