Imphal, January 20: Two student organizations of Churachandpur district today strongly condemned yesterday�s twin attacks on the security personnel in the heart of the town here, which resulted in the death of three people.

The two organizations namely Siamsinpawlpi (SSPP) general headquarters and Zomi Students Federation (ZSF) in a press release said that such a cowardly attack on the security forces in crowded public places have created a fear psychosis amongst the civil population, apart from resulting in the loss of innocent lives.

The two bodies also called on the general public to realize the real intention of the attackers which was to create havoc to the public and condemn them.

Demanding that the culprits be hunted down immediately, the students asked all right thinking persons to join hands so that such ugly incidents do not recur in the future.

In the meanwhile, the body of the slain policeman, T Chinmuanthang who was killed in yesterday�s ambush was buried today at New Lamka Cemetery with full military honours.

Senior police officials including V Zathanga IGP (LO-II) MA Rahman DIG (Range III), and Lhari Dorjee Lhatoo SP/ Ccpur apart from the DC/ Ccpur KK Chhetry spoke at the funeral service.

They all urged the people to cooperate with them so that elements like yesterday�s attackers could be wiped off from the society.
