Manipur University archers maintained its superiority on the third day of the All India Inter-University Archery and Compound Archery Tournament at MU Ground today adding five gold and same number of silver and bronze medals to its overnight tally of 16 medals, that included 6 gold.
Ranchi University is at second position with four gold, three silver and two bronze followed by Acharya Nagarjuna University on four gold and a bronze.
International archer L Bombayla Devi fetched four of the five MU gold medals won today with top finishes in 70 metre, 60 mtr, 50 mtr and 30 mtr FITA Round Women event as Kh Ratan chipped in with one in men's 30 metre Compound competition.
Even though Bandana Barua of Guwahati University prevented MU archers from a clean sweep of the women's FITA Round competitions held today, Bombayla, B Lucy and P Erica made podium finishes in the 30 metre event.
