Imphal, May 14 2010:
The Zeliangrong Students' Union, Manipur (ZSUM) has called off the chakka bandh which was imposed on NH 53 since May 6 in protest against the Mao incident.
The ZSUM also shared the grief and sorrow being endured by the bereaved families of the two students killed in the Mao incident.
The union also regretted the difficulties and miseries faced by commuters along Imphal-Jiribam route.
However, the economic blockade imposed by ANSAM against the ADC (Third Amendment) Act 2008 is still in force, said a press release issued by the ZSUM.
