In its sustained campaign to control drug abuse and alcoholism in the State, the All Manipur Anti-Drug Association (AMADA) has consigned to flames about 500 litres of foreign and country made liquor in addition to SP tablets seized from different places.
In today's drive, three women bootleggers were also nabbed by AMADA volunteers.
Moreover, AMADA Imphal West District Council managed to nab one Paonam Nanao alias Gover (22) from Lilong area along with 62 pieces of SP tablets.
It is said that the tablets were bought from one Abas of Lilong Tairel Makhong.
The seized tablets and liquor were consigned to flames today at Kwakeithel.
Nanao was also paraded before the reporters at the place where the seized items were burnt.
