Authority and staff of New Look English School have assured that they would extend all possible help and co-operation to the organisations which are trying to find out the truth and in punishing those who are responsible for the death of Ngangbam Langlen who was found dead hanging inside boarding of the school on July 25.Addressing a press conference at Manipur Press Club here this afternoon, principal of the School Md Basir Khan refuted the allegation of the JAC formed in connection of the incident that he and the assistant teacher Md Tajuddin have been absconding.
We were out of station for sometime from the security point of view, he said adding that they are now stationing at the school.
Stating that the students and the staff of the school have been deeply affected by the death of Langlen, Basir said they would participated in Asti and other rites and rituals to be performed.
He further appealed to the JAC to lift the ban imposed on conducting classes in the interest of the students of the school.
On the other hand, a public meeting convened by JAC at Matai Community Hall this afternoon charges the school authority with negligence in looking after the sick girl and held it responsible for the death of the girl.
The meeting resolved to seek the co-operation of all concerned in taking a final decision on whether the school should be allowed to operate or close down.
The meeting further resolved that JAC should not be responsible for any eventuality in this regard.
