Imphal, April 17 2010:
Around 150 teachers took part in the sit-in protest staged at Senapati Bazar as part of pressing the state government for in toto implementation of the revised sixth pay bands.
The protest was organised by the Senapati District Teachers' Association, a statement of the association said adding that functionaries of AMESTA, T Rameshwor and Sh Tomba, M Debandra of AMGHLWA and M Joykumar and Kubajohn of Senapati District Employees Association etc.
talked on the demands put forward by the teachers to the
government.
Speakers while elaborately speaking on the agitations launched by the teachers in the passed as support to the cease-work strike of the JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO said that they are likely to undergo mass court arrest movement in the near future.
