Offices in the blocks of the state secretariat buildings deserted today for the second day as the employees go on with cease-work strike after mass casual leave yesterday as scheduled defying the government warning of applying principle of 'No work no pay' or die non to them.
Working in all the three blocks of the secretariat, North Block, South Block and Ministerial Block were paralyzed as employees under the Manipur Secretariat Service Association were out of official duties even though they attend office.
Employees turned up to their offices but no official work performed.
In the offices some commissioners and chief secretary, their subordinate staffs were out from the office campus.
Pensioners white dress staged protest at the gate of the secretariat.
But they were turned out by the police.
Employees instead of sitting in their chambers remained standing at the footpath in front of the secretariat buildings.

supervised by the Senior SP, Imphal West, L Kailun turned out them saying to go inside the office if they want or left the place.
One employee who claimed himself to be among the striker was detained by the police for some moment.
On the other hand employees of PWD, PHED and IFCD also worked out from their respective offices after locking down the offices with keypad under the initiative of the Joint Coordinating Committee of the employees of three departments.
A statement of the committee stated that the working in the three departments have been paralyzed since they joint the cease-work strike of the employees under the banner of the JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO.
The statement also warned that if the three employees of the PHED were not released without any condition, intensified forms of agitations will be launched by suspending supply of safe drinking waters to the residents of VIPs and general publics.
Closure of road by PWD and suspension of works at the Dam sites will be conducted, they warned.
