The Army recruitment rally being conducted by Loktak Brigade at Bishnupur town under the aegis of Red Shield Division has attracted a large number of youth from all over Manipur, said a PIB (DW) release while adding that aim of the rally is to recruit maximum number of young, vibrant and energetic youth from Manipur into the Indian Army.
The rally commenced from 7.30 am today and witnessed a large turn out of youth from remotest villages of Manipur.
This is the first time that a recruitment rally is being organized at Bishnupur on such a large scale, informed the release and construed that participation by about 4000 candidates on the first day is a very positive sign of achieving the aim to meet aspirations of the youth of Manipur, who have shown great zeal in being part of the Indian Army and devote their life in service of the country.
The arrangements at Bishnupur stadium were done to provide comfort to the candidates who had turned up for the rally.
These included clean sitting areas, drinking water and refreshment stalls.
The rally will conclude on 25 Apr 10, it added.
