Imphal, May 02:
Noting the perpetual absence of any work progress despite releasing Rs 5 crores to all the Govt Departments in March this year, the Chief Secy has recommended certain steps to monitor the progress of important projects underway.
Issuing a circular in this connection today, the Chief Secy said that despite the numerous meetings convened by the CM to discuss the projects under the State Plan, Centrally Sponsored Schemes, NLC-PR, NEC and PM packages, it has been noticed that none of the departments had fixed any milestones or specific items to be completed in each month.
To ensure that reviews are conducted at different levels of the Govt, the Heads of Departments and administrative Secretaries have been asked to work out milestones and fix a time frame for each project to be completed or started.
The departments have also been asked to submit neccesary papers to the Planning Dept by May 10.
