To take stock of the rehabilitation programmes of drug addicts being taken up in the State personally, Union Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Smt Meira Kumar would be arriving here on a twoday from May 4 to 5.During her visit, the Minister would interact with representatives of the NGOs working in the field of drug abuse prevention to understand the problems being faced by them besides meeting the Govt officials in this regard.
The Minister would also inaugurate the convergence of the Regional Research Training Centre (RRTC) to be hosted at State Guest House, Sanjenthong on May 4 and give audience to the family members of the drugs users who are either undergoing treatment or have been cured at IWCDC, Thangmeiband as well as at Sneha Bhavan, Airport Road before leaving.
Meanwhile, the Union Minister has been accorded State Guest status by the State Government during her stay in the State.
