OFC burnt in arson

Imphal, January 13, 2011:
Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) of 4000 meter length, worth around 2 lakh belonging to the Vodafone mobile phone service meant for the stretch between Tupul Bazar and Airtel Tower at Tupul under Nungba Police Station has been burned by unknown persons in an act of arson.
The incident took place on January 8 around 11.30 pm and authority of the mobile phone provider accused five villagers of Tupul, Kaphensingpao Kamei, David Kamei, John Kamei, Martin and Thenpu Kamei, of carrying out the act of arson.
