Imphal, February 11, 2010:
After 36 hours of relaxation in between, the indefinite economic blockade imposed by the Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) along the NH 39 has resumed from 6 pm today.
The student body had relaxed the blockade for 36 hours to facilitate smooth conduct of the 55th quinquennial congress of Manipur Baptist Convention.
The indefinite blockade was preceded by two days' bandh on the same highway after it was cut down from five days considering the plight of people.
The student body has been agitating demanding development of NH 39 to the level of traffic worthiness.
