A new website www.mymanipur.com which would update current happenings of the state including arts and culture and tourism related information was launched today at the office of the Manipur.com, Keishampat Hodam Leirak.
Laishram Nabakishore, Padama Shree award winner graced the launching function as chief guest and presided over by president of the Human Resource Development and Research Colony Communication Organisation, Kakchingtabam Sharatchandra.
Editor of Kangelipak Meira, Wangkhemcha Shyamjai attended as guest of honour.
Speaking as president of the function, Sharatchandra said it is the dream of the Manipur.com to impart employment to three lakh youths of the state by 2015 .
He said, even though there is no industry worth mentioning in Manipur, state own treasures of rich art and culture and tourism can make the state a rich state.
When Darjeeling of West Bengal earned crores of rupees with tourism in a year why not Manipur, he asked.
Narendra Ningomba who spoke as special invitee of the launching function said even though the state is lack in development with no industry, crimes against humanity like killings are occurring without day break.
The website launching today will able to expose the world about Manipur's rich art and culture and tourism, he added.
