All Manipur Government Drivers and Technicians' Association has warned of intensifying its ongoing agitation in support of the demand for implementation of Central 6th Pay recommendation in toto.
Talking to mediapersons at DIPR complex here today, Association secretary S Ibopishak said that since January this year the Association has been extending moral support to the ceasework strike of the JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO over the same demand and had appealed to the Government for bringing any amicable solution with the striking JAC.
As the Government has not given any response, the Association had also send a reminder on February 21.In the absence of any response even after this, a meeting of the Association had decided all the Government drivers would launch hands off the steering stir with effect from April 1.Justifying the demand of the JAC, Ibopishak said that it is for ensuring the rights of the employees.
So, if the Government does not come to an agreement with the JAC within April 6, the Association would be constraint to launch sit-inprotest demonstration all over the places from the next day, Ibopishak said, adding categorically that the Govt should be responsible any eventualities.
