The frontal organisations of the Zeliangrong in a joint stamen today demand for immediate action for reimbursement of damage Tata Sumo caused by Meera Paibi bandh supporter during the bandh called by Jiri ima Meera paibi Apunba and Jiri Meera Paibis.
A joint meeting was held and discussed in details of the fact complaint made by Sumo owner plying as passenger service from Tamenglong to jiribam.
On 24 March one Tata Sumo Reg.
No.As 01Y9967 and MN0-2739 was plying from Tamenglong to Jiribam on ill fated day and was caught by Jiri Meera Paibi and destroyed the vehicles beyond repair at the residence of the chief of Phaitol village of Tamenglong District despite showing honour by the vehicles owner with regards to the bandh called by Jiri Meera Paibis Apunba Lup and Apunba Jiri Meera paibis, the statement said.
Further, the statement assert that Phaitol village is in Tamenglong district not under Jiribam jurisdiction where the bandh was enforce and it will not be a wise decision to intrude upon the jurisdiction of others in future, adding that failure to redress the demand will not consider lightly.
