Federation of All Tribal Youth Clubs, Manipur urged the general public to pledge support to the 72 hours hill districts general strike called by JAC for 2006-09 Autonomous District Council DPC Faced Candidates Parents and Guardians Manipur starting midnight of 6 April.
FATYCM in a press release said that there is acute shortage of teachers, doctors and infrastructures in hill districts.
The federation also expressed concern over the non-declaration of interview result for the recruitment of Primary teachers held for six ADCs on October 11, 2009 .
Meanwhile, All Tribal Disable Union Manipur (ATDUM) urged upon the State Government to resolve the row with the JAC so that the proposed general strike may be avoided.
Maintaining that it is known to the Government that there is shortage of teachers in hill areas, ATDUM said that early declaration of DPC results is the wish of the masses.
